Parliament needs evidence, not soundbites or spin.

Claims that legalising ‘assisted dying’ would be safe do not stand up to careful scrutiny.

In this critique Professor Baroness Finlay and Lord Carlile QC address a number of inaccurate, incomplete or otherwise misleading statements made in a memorandum supplied by the campaigning group Dignity in Dying to Members of Parliament.  Baroness Finlay and Lord Carlile argue that “what is needed if sound decisions are to be taken by Parliament as regards the legalisation of ‘assisted dying’ is robust evidence and careful analysis”.
