Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act: 2002 Annual Report

Official report on the implementation of physician-assisted suicide in Oregon in 2002.

Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act (DWDA), enacted in 1997, allows doctors to supply lethal drugs to terminally ill and mentally capable patients who request them for purposes of suicide. The Oregon Public Health Division is required by the DWDA to collect information on the operation of the Act and to issue annual reports.
