Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act: 2000 Annual Report.

The Oregon Health Division reports on the implementation of the Death with Dignity Act in 2000.

Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act (DWDA), enacted in 1997, allows doctors to supply lethal drugs to terminally ill and mentally capable patients who request them for purposes of suicide. The Oregon Public Health Division is required by the DWDA to collect information on the operation of the Act and to issue annual reports. The report on Calendar Year 2000 may be accessed here.
