A revised proposal by Margo MacDonald for the legalisation in Scotland of physician-assisted suicide.
In 2010 MSP Margo MacDonald’s “End of Life Assistance (Scotland)” Bill was rejected by the Scottish Parliament by 85 votes against 16. In 2012 Ms MacDonald returned to the charge with a consultation paper for her “Assisted Suicide (Scotland)” Bill. It is expected that a bill along these lines wil be presented to the Holyrood Parliament during 2013.
