Assembly Debate Reveals Serious Concerns Over Lord Falconer’s Bill.

On 10 December 2014 the Assembly of Wales in Cardiff debated and rejected a Motion by five Members that the Assembly should suport the principles of Lord Falconer’s Assisted Dying Bill, which is currently before the House of Lords and which, if enacted, would apply to both England and Wales.  The record of the debate may be accessed here.  12 Assembly Members voted to support the Motion, 21 voted against.  There were 20 abstentions.
