Assembly Debate Reveals Serious Concerns Over Lord Falconer’s Bill

On 10 December 2014 the Assembly of Wales in Cardiff debated a Motion proposed by five Members that the Assembly should support the principle of Lord Falconer’s Assisted Dying Bill, which is curently before the House of Lords at Westminster.  The debate revealed serious concerns among many Members over both the principle and the terms of Lord Falconer’s Bill.  The Motion was rejected by 21 votes to 12, with 20 abstentions.  The record of the debate can be found under our Publications/Parliament/Parliamentary Debates section.
